Very cool, I really like the Japanese style of the picture. The white background and faded red on the sun are so visually different from the other pictures, but the image retains the same kind of feel as the others. Utterly fantastic, I love it.

Really cool - the faded sun in the background really reminds me of classical Japanese printmaking techniques - at the risk of sounding like a pretentious art-theory nerd, I like how you've referenced Japanese art both in the subject matter and the maner of excecution, yet managed to keep it fresh and contemporary-looking. I'm really glad I added you to my watch list!

Hi, just finished watching the Malaysian Grand Prix...!
Thanks for the compliments... I really enjoy your work too, and your comment to the effect that a lot of people "overwork" their stuff is quite true....but each to their own I guess!
I was trained as a "classical painter" and used to be a commercial illustrator so I have learned a few tricks and shortcuts along the way...LOL!
Depending on what type of project I am on I do sometimes take more time for presentation of some renderings. Stuff I post here is mainly goofin around stuff for my own pleasure and experimentation though.
As for the brushes, I am constanly fooling around in the "Brush Tip Shapes paletts, squishing, streching, texturing regular PS brushes, sometimes I save them but I mostly just try and remember what I did before and make up new variations on a brush!
Your stuff has a real vibrant and diverse look and feel, you are not afraid to try different things and mainly your work looks like you are having fun and there is an idea behind the work!!
Keep it up and thanks again for taking time to comment on my stuff!

I can't get over how simplistic your brush strokes are yet the finished product is absolutely amazing and really pulls everything together.

My favourite bit is their boots, chain/mesh sort of legging/shin guard things. Is this done in photoshop and did you use custom brushes?
